Customer Rating:  Summary: Neat thermometer Comment: In size, shape and use, this thermometer is like the little cheap one I got at the grocery store years ago. The reason I got it was for the instant read feature. While it doesn't give you an immediate reading, it is very quick and much quicker than the old mechanical. The big digit display has a magnifying lens on a round dial which makes it easy to check temperatures at a glance. It also features a 5-inch stem, premium stainless with shatterproof housing, data hold feature, and auto-off after ten minutes. Measures from -40 to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Choosing Appliance -> Spatulas Buy a sturdy stainless spatula for general uses and a Teflon spatula for your non-stick pan. In addition, buy a silicon baking spatula for scraping bowls. Silicon is an amazing substance which is heat resistant up to 550 degrees. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Useful info -> Built-in Ovens Built-under ovens may be single or double cavity and also need a separate hob. Double cavity ovens are essential if you want to cook one dish and grill another at the same time. |
