Customer Reviews of Oster 6265 Inspire 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Brushed Stainless Steel
Customer Rating: Summary: Good oven but nearly useless toaster Comment: This is so much harder to get good toast from than our old DeLonghi.. Disappointing that what is generally a good toaster oven has such an "all or nothing" result on toast. There's no toast light/dark setting, only a one-hour timer. So turning the timer knob two millimeters extra takes your toast from done to burnt. With a proper toaster you just put in the bread or bagel, set the light/dark and push a button. With the Oster it's like making toast in your main oven - it needs constant watching. Works well as an small oven, good for reheating pizza and for cooking small items like frozen pot pies. Nice appearance too, and cleaning out crumbs is pretty easy. But the ongoing burnt (or untoasted) toast every morning is enough to make us never want another Oster toaster oven. As a small oven it's 4 stars, but as a toaster, it's 1 star. Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT LITTLE OVEN Comment: I have owned and used this little oven for over 18 months and it is easily the best toaster i have ever owned. We don't baby it at all, has been to college and camping, and still produces perfect toast and bakes evenly at all temps. All knobs, trays, etc... are still intact and working. Worth it at twice the price! Customer Rating: Summary: Best Oven Ever! Comment: I have read a few bad reviews of this toaster oven, but I want to say that I have been nothing but pleased with the performance and quality of this oven. Looks and works great. I have had some bad experiences with toaster ovens, but this one never lets me down. I just can't say enough good about this oven! If you can find one, buy it! Customer Rating: Summary: What a disappointment Comment: Good thing you can't buy these anymore. I'm not surprised. Here's the bottom line. Plastic knob broke in the first week, can't get a replacement. The design is terrible, there is no lip on the back of the rack so when you try and grab it slides to the back and it is very hard to get anything out of it. Just a poor design all around. Waste of money More Reviews A powerhouse for your kitchen with toast and variable broil settings. Features 60-minute timer with auto shut-off and bell signal, a double wall construction for enhanced heat retention and cool touch handles. Two removable, reversible chrome-plated cooking racks advance automatically for safe and easy food removal. Two rack positions accommodate foods from tall roasts to pizza. Baking pan, broiler insert and removable crumb tray. Brushed stainless steel body with silver and polished stainless steel accents. Includes "Art of Food" recipe book. Choosing Appliance -> Taps Dual-flow mixers provide independent hot, cold or mixed water after leaving the end of the spout. They can be deck-mounted on the sink or pillar/bridge-mounted for a more traditional look. Alternatively, choose a monobloc tap, which is a single-hole fitting that usually has two handles for hot and cold water supply. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Oster 6265 Inspire 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Brushed Stainless Steel Useful info -> Dishwashers Energy efficiency is of paramount importance, not only to save money on electricity bills but also to help reduce power station emissions that contribute to global warming. Look for brands with low energy consumption (energy efficiency ratings will be displayed in the showroom). Levels are now as low as 1.3kW/hr on some slimline models largely because of reduced water consumption. A delay timer can help take advantage of cheap overnight electricity. |
