Customer Rating: Summary: Great product, great company Comment: Cast Iron Meat Pounder This is a great item for the serious cook to have. I love it. Chef Tools is a great company to deal with. Not only did I get my order in a timely manner, but they also followed up by email regarding the status of another order. I will deal with them in the future! Customer Rating: Summary: Pounding is fun and quick. Comment: The heavy weight of this pounder makes the job easy and quick. The meat it flattened but not shreaded like with traditionakl pouders. I suggest holding it with a pot holder for greater comfort. More Reviews Seriously heavy cast iron meat pounder is chrome plated for a smooth, gleaming finish. Choosing Appliance -> Sinks Consider which accessories might be beneficial. Many models can be supplied with a draining basket, chopping board and strainer bowls. A drainer extension can be useful for sinks without a drainer where worktop space is limited in a small kitchen. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Kitchen tips -> Rice cooking Add a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of oil to rice when cooking. This will allow the rice to separate and not stick together after it is cooked. You can also try just adding a tablespoon of vinegar to the water to prevent rice from sticking |
