Customer Rating:  Summary: Keytop Peppermill Comment: A gift for my husband - an outstanding chef. He likes the easy one handed-way this mill works. Customer Rating: Summary: expensive but nice Comment: This is not a frugal purchase. I have to say I was 'suaded by the fact that no tv cooks EVER use ground pepper. They always use the peppermill. I have used the disposable mills that are not refillable when you purchase pepper before this purchase. I had read several internet opinions recommending the magnum (apparently mills can be persnickety to operate) and I got this version for its looks. It turns out to be cuter because the peppercorns or fennel seeds are poured into the hole on the side - where the squirrel Sherlock would be in the tree in the Magic Garden. This product is something that every one would enjoy so it is a pity that $22 would seem to be too expensive to many people like myself. I got it because I wanted to use fennel on a regular basis and wanted a designated grinder for it. The regular magnum which is the popular version comes with a tray to catch the dust and this keytop does not; perhaps that is the reason for the $10 price difference. Is this frugal? no Would I have purchased this used at a cheaper price off of craigslist? no Did I shop around for the best total price including the manufacturer's website? yes and so should you Customer Rating: Summary: Good for arthritic hands Comment: I love my Magnum, so I bought the Unicorn Keytop for my elderly mother, whose arthritis makes it difficult and painful to use most ordinary peppermills. The keytop turned out to be just what she needed; it does the job perfectly with one or two turns, and she can operate it without discomfort. I recommend that anyone looking for a good peppermill purchase a Unicorn product. You can't go wrong. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Stainless Steel Maintenance Wipe away any acid spills such as from vinegar or grapefruit straight away. Never clean the bowl or draining board with an abrasive cleaner. Instead use liquid detergent in warm water and wipe with a soft cloth to remove water drop marks. Care for stainless steel appliance fascias and cabinet fronts in the same way. If choosing stainless steel cabinets, a 'brushed' surface is less likely to show grease from finger marks. |
