Customer Rating:  Summary: Enjoying the Beautiful Life for Less! Comment: Because of the distinctive pattern of the glassware, you can't really use these pieces if you are trying to impress people. BUT you can use all the varities of pieces, sizes if you enjoy fine dining and drinking, wanting the appropriate glassware to increase your enjoyment. The glassware is solid, beautiful and looks great on tables. I enjoy being able to have a water, wine glassware setting, offering the matching champagne glasses for cocktails and then feeling double swanky to finish the evening with brandy or liquers in their matching glassware. All for less than the price of one set of fancy-schmancy pieces from departement stores. Live large! They feel very good quality, are hardier than most crystal glasses and I wash them in the dishwasher with no problem. Customer Rating:  Summary: Tiny! Tiny! Tiny! Comment: The descriptions of this crystal is so confusing. I ordered these thinking they would be about the size of an orange juice glass-6 to 8 oz. NO--they are the cutest little toothpick holders I have ever seen! But I didn't know how you would serve a drink in them. My daughter suggested that if I was serving Irish coffee I could use these to put the liqeur in on the side so guests could use as much as they like in their coffee. That is such a better idea than tooth pick holders at each place setting :) I have also figured out that the company measures the ounces the glass will hold at just under the lip of the glass. So if you fill a glass to the lip and pour it into a measuring cup the size the company lists is about 1/2 an ounce less. Customer Rating: Summary: Damaged Cristal D'Arques Longchamp Old Fashioned Comment: The Cristal D'Arques Longchamp Old Fashioned ordered on 5/30/07 arrived badly broken. A complaint was filed upon receiving broken glasses. Amazon requested that they did not want the return of this package due to the dangers of shipping broken glass. They also promised replacement. We have paid in full and have nothing but frustration to show for it. We would appreciate having this issue rectified. A possitive review is not available at this time. Customer Rating: Summary: Elegant looking without etching Comment: These are relatively inexpensive crystal glassed but work great for everyday use. I've had one glass for several years now and it goes to the diswasher regularly. It doesn't etch like expensive crysal probably because of a low lead content in the glass. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Food Processor This is a big ticket item, but worth its weight in gold. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems. Useful info -> Food Waste Disposers Food waste disposers remove waste quickly without the use of knives or blades. The food waste is ground down into fine particles and is then flushed away through the normal waste pipe system.
