Summary: A good place to start
Comment: I grew up with cast iron cookware in the house. My mother owned several pieces but it has only been in the recent months that I have developed a real appreciation for it. Regretfully, all of hers is gone including some classic Griswold pieces. If you know nothing of cast iron this is a good place to start. It's not comprehensive (Dummies books rarely are). If you are just getting started and want some good basic information, you can't beat this for the price.
