The screen is extra thick , nothing gets through this but air. You can also rest your untensils on the top while you cook. Good investment unless you like to clean up grease splatter. Customer Rating: Summary: Best Ever Comment: I've purchased this item about 3 months ago, and I love it. When I first got it in I was a bit suprised and upset. Because the screen was metal and not mesh. But the first time I used this and had to clean it. I realized that the metal was much better then the mesh. Its so much easier to clean then mesh. You don't have to worry about little pieces of things getting stuck in the holes and you pick at the mesh to get it out. An then the mesh is messed up because you picked at it and then the mesh becomes misshaped. All in all this is a really good product. I like it so much, I buying a few for Christmas presents for family. Customer Rating: Summary: Overkill. Comment: I wanted a splatter screen without a handle sticking out the side so I could store it in a convenient place. I looked and I could only find this one and a tefal type. I purchased this one and the main thing I noticed is this thing is big and bulky overkill design I guess their designers don't know of the KISS design method (Keep it Simple Stupid). Another bad thing is that it is made with perferated metal instead of a screen which makes it impossible to see your food which one's with stainless steel screens you can see what's going on. I went to IKEA after I used this and found one that is what I was looking for in the first place. One with a stainless steel mesh, can fit any size pan and a small lift up handle in the middle of the splatter screen and it was only $3. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Natural Granite Maintenance Granite must not be rubbed with abrasive materials instead, wash with clean warm water to which a non-abrasive light neutral detergent (PH7) may be added. Rinse with clean warm water and dry with a chamois leather or similar. Drainer Grooves can be cleaned using wire wool. |
