Customer Rating:  Summary: Very good skewers. Comment: I'm glad I bought these skewers, they are as-advertised and I expect to get many uses out of them for years to come. They are sturdy and flat, so it is easy to turn them over without the meat spinning around. We made delicious lamb and chicken kebabs with these. One thing to keep in mind: we did end up buying bamboo skewers for our vegetable kebabs, because these are so wide that the smaller mushrooms and cherry tomatoes I had would've split in two if I tried to thread them on the metal skewers. Customer Rating:  Summary: Skewer Review Comment: While there is no doubt that this is a quality item, I found them to be much too long and unwieldy. They are huge and would only work well on the largest of grills. I also found them to be difficult to skewer anything with. They are very wide (I know there are narrower ones) but any vegetable I tried to put on them (onions, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers) split almost every time no matter how careful I was. So I guess if you have a large grill and want to skewer large firm items such as beef or swordfish, they would be great although still difficult to manuever. Customer Rating: Summary: stainless steel ? barbecue skewers Comment: The actual skewer is wonderful to use, keeping the meat and veggies from moving around. However, after putting them in the dishwasher to clean they came out with rust on them, so are they actually stainless steel. I recommend hand washing. Customer Rating: Summary: Good product but the edge is too sharp that it cut your fingers Comment: Solid skewer. Good quality for the money. However, the pointy edge is razor sharp. I actually cut my index finger trying to skewered the meat. I know it's me being careless, but the damage would have been less had the edge not be this sharp. As my finger still hurts badly after 3 days, overall not such a great product. Customer Rating: Summary: Good stuff Comment: Those are excellent skewers. They are perfectly wide to prevent pieces of meat from spinning. The only 'grief' I have, I would not mind for them to be a just bit longer. More Reviews These flat, extra-wide skewers look cool and work even better. Ground lamb and chunks of beef, pork, fish, even wet vegetables, like tomatoes and mushrooms, won't slip or spin, as they do on conventional slender metal skewers. All stainless steel. 
Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Check the capacity. 'Standard' 60cm wide dishwashers can take 12, 14 or 16 place settings, whilst slimline 45cm models may cater for 7, 8 or 9 place settings. Compact dishwashers tend to be 45 cm wide and can be placed on the worktop or built in, depending on the model. They may take 4, 5 or 6 place settings.
