This is one of those items that did not matter very much to me how quickly it arived. Thus Amazons free shipping was just icing on the cake for me. Amazon does let you know that the free shipping is sloooow but my order arrived well within the time that Amazon indicated. Customer Rating: Summary: Best bacon tray for the microwave Comment: I have used this bacon tray for 15 years. It cooks bacon evenly and I have been very pleased with it. I have tried other trays in the past but they pale in comparison. This tray consistently makes good bacon, is easy to clean, and is good for defrosting frozen meats. Customer Rating: Summary: Great for small amounts Comment: This tray works very well for when you don't need to fry up an entire pound of bacon. It doesn't taste as good as frying, but is probably healthier since it isn't sitting in its own grease. The only real draw back is that you need a pretty large microwave oven to allow it to rotate. It comes out perfect with no mess. the grease drains from the bacon and it's incredibly crisp. It's easy to clean and goes in the dishwasher. More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making.
