Customer Reviews of Baker's Secret Basics Nonstick 8-Inch Round Cake Pan
Customer Rating: Summary: Super non-stick cake pans that make your cake super high!! Comment: I like these 8" pans much better than the 9" pans because they make the cake higher and that is more pleasing to the eye...looks more like a cake from a bakery. The non-stick is super and Bakers Secret is always of the highest quality. I have pieces that are 10 years old and are still going strong! BUY IT! Customer Rating: Summary: 8-inch baking pans Comment: Again, I was unable to find this item in any store. Finally, I found it online. They work great and my family feels like a 3-layer cake is "more" than a 2-layer cake! Customer Rating: Summary: My Baker's secret Comment: These pans are basic, non-stick cake pans. They are nice pans at a nice price. For baking I will use these every time. I Have used this inexpensive bakeware for years. Never had a problem with it. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Stainless steel bowls These are the best all purpose bowls for a multitude of applications. Choose a wide range of sizes (be sure to get a large bowl for whipping egg whites and whipped cream). In general, the heavier the bowl, the higher quality.
