Customer Rating:  Summary: Perfect Pitch Comment: This elegant little pitcher stands nearly 10" high and is nicely weighted, holding just the right amount of liquid. It makes a perfect iced water pitcher, even placed near or on a formally arranged table, elegant enough to hold its own next to a silver tea or coffee service. You won't go wrong with this lovely little pitcher. I'm happy I bought it and may purchase the smaller version as well. Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful little luxury for everyday use !! Comment: When we moved into our new house in 2006, we replaced our motley collection of wine glasses and brandy snifters with new sets from the Cristal D'Arques collection. They proved to be extremely durable and lovely to look at. Last week this pitcher was featured for $9.99 at the Friday sale and I snapped it up. I had the same concerns as another reviewer -- it didn't seem to be appropriately packaged given that it was crystal (no bubble wrap, just a box within a box) but it came through unscathed. I had the same experience when I ordered the wine glasses and brandy snifters -- the packing was not terrific, but they came through okay. The set is a good value for the money -- you won't be disappointed. Customer Rating: Summary: lovely Comment: I ordered several items from this collection and all came completely intact. 2 of the 3 packing boxes were a bit knocked and the tape looked not-so-secure so i was very concerned about their condition. Inside the packing boxes were the item boxes with no bubble wrap on them, yet the product was unbroken. I see this as a testament to the durability of the product. I am so pleased with my purchase and plan to get more pieces in the future. I feel so special when i look in my everyday drinking glass cabinet and see my beautiful crystal glasses, wine glasses, and pitcher sparkling a smile at me. Useful info -> Water Filters Very few people buying a new kitchen do so today without the offer of a water filter system as part of the deal. Water filters are taking by storm as the man and woman in the street discover that they can have the luxury of pure, clean tasting water in their kitchens for far less than the cost of a pint of milk a day! The water filter systems knock the costs associated with bottled water for six. Especially when you have virtually unlimited quantities of the stuff, pouring from a tap in your kitchen! |
