Customer Reviews of KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Hard Anodized 8 and 10-Inch Skillet 2 pack
Customer Rating: Summary: Just as nice as the cookware set Comment: I ordered these as an addition to my KitchenAid Hard Anodized cookware set. They are great! The little one is perfect for a single serving. The larger one is great for stir-fry type meals and has high sides that helps keep everything in the pan. They clean up great and I've had no problems with the non-stick coating. I do try to take care of my cookware and hand wash everything, so I don't know how they do in the dishwasher. I have been very satisfied with my KitchenAid cookware and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice reliable set, at an affordable price. Customer Rating: Summary: Kitchenaid skillet pack Comment: These pans are fairly light weight and heat evenly. The handle stays cool. They are not quite the diameter advertised. The sides are deeper and slope in more than I anticipated. I am not giving the product 5 stars because of this which makes the actual cooking surface smaller. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Value and Performance Comment: I've been using these pans for several weeks now and I've so far had no issue with them. Food seems to cook evenly and the pans heat up in an average time. I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for a non-stick everyday cookware. The only downside to this product are the rivets for the handles are on the inside of the pan. When cooking scrambled eggs, food will collect around the rivets. Not ideal for sanitary reasons if the pan isn't cleaned throughly. However it makes the construction sturdier. Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT PANS! Comment: These pans are light and clean up great just don't use metal in them. Will buy more. Customer Rating: Summary: Best Pans For The Money Comment: I love these pans. Even heat. Definately non-stick. Easy to flip food. More Reviews KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line features nonstick cookware constructed from hard-anodized aluminum that provides long-term durability and outstanding performance. The nonstick surface offers convenient cooking, easy release and hassle-free cleanup! Comfortable cool-grip handles feature an 18/10 stainless steel shaft encased in soft silicone rubber. Some of the cookware also come with break-resistant glass lids: these are dome-shaped lids which shut tightly to secure all the moisture, nutrients and flavor. Handwash with mild dish soap. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials Hard Anodized 8 and 10-Inch Skillet 2 pack Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Hob and grill cooking Modern appliances reach higher temperatures quicker - and often hold heat longer. To avoid worktop damage, follow both the appliance manufacturers instructions and these rules:
