Customer Reviews of Chicago Metallic Duncan Hines Toaster Oven Pan
Customer Rating: Summary: Just what I wanted!! Comment: I have tried for six months to find replacement pans for my toaster oven. None of the stores in my town carried them. Then as I was looking for something else I found them on Amazon!! As soon as the new ones arrived, the old ones went into the trash!! Thanks so much! Customer Rating: Summary: Nice little pan Comment: I've used it a few times so far and it still looks perfect. So far, no sticking or rust problems. It cleans up easily. I wish it was a little bigger, but for the price, I like it. I'll eventually get another one. Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect Fit Comment: Great replacement pan for my toaster-oven. Enjoyed for 2 months so far. Finish seems durable with no scratching yet. Light color, so does not burn like a dark finish. Original pan that came with toaster-oven was dark, finish peeled easily and not as good as this replacement. Customer Rating: Summary: My Chicago Metallic Duncan Hines Toaster Oven Pan Review Comment: I use my toaster oven almost daily so am always on the hunt for good pans to use in it. But this time when I went on the hunt I wanted a "covered" pan for my little oven. I quickly found they do not exist like they do for my big oven so I decided to make one. This pan, the Chicago Metallic Duncan Hines Toaster Oven Pan, was perfect for one of the pieces. I purchased two of them. (My research led me to another pan here on Amazon... the Nordic Ware Compact Oven 1-1/2-Quart Casserole Pan. I also ordered two of those.) When the 4 pans arrived I did a test fit and they fit together almost as if they were made to even though they were from totally different manufacturers. One pan's lip fits inside the other pan's lip making a decently stable 'catch'. The two pans, different depths, would allow me to have a lid on a casserole or a cover on a broiler pan. Customer Rating: Summary: Good quallity, but small Comment: I bought two of these to use in our T-Fal toaster oven, mostly to bake cookies. It works extremely well, and comes clean with a wipe of a wet dishrag. My complaint is that this a small pan. I knew this when I purchased the pair and am not sorry at all that I bought them. But our T-Fal can handle an 8"x 12" pan. If this item becomes available in a larger size I will be first in line to buy two more. More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Chicago Metallic Duncan Hines Toaster Oven Pan Kitchen tips -> Onion To produce good tasting, crisp onions, slice or chop onions and place them in a bowl. Cover the onions with water and then add some ice to the water. Let the onions soak for 15 minutes to an hour and then drain before serving |
