Customer Reviews of Delonghi TRD0715T Safe Heat Oil-Filled Radiator
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Heater, except the wheels Comment: I have no complaints about the size, weight or effectiveness about this heater. However, the wheels are this things STINK!!!! I cannot get them to stay attached to the bottom. They are held together by a small piece of metal and do not stay in the holes. I have tried everything from hammering them into place to simply duct taping them. Right now it is leaning with a piece of wood underneath, which makes maneuvering it very difficult. Other than the wheels, I would recommend this to anyone who needs to heat a small to medium sized room. Customer Rating: Summary: Delonghi TRD0715T heater Comment: I bought the Delonghi heater last winter and this winter it has started making noise on the 2 & 3 settings. Perhaps it's not 'drive you crazy' loud but, who knows, perhaps it'll get worse and it is disappointing. I'm considering moving it out of the bedroom and getting different heater for that space. Beyond that it's definitely not a quick way to heat up a room but, on the plus side, if we just turn it on a little while before going to bed then we're comfortable through the night and can keep our furnace turned way down. Also, it seems solidly constructed and hasn't given us any cause for concern about its safety. So, really, it's been quite good but I just might consider getting something else as our second space heater because of the noise issue, but it's definitely a possibility that I'll just get another one of these. Customer Rating: Summary: Very good Comment: I bought a oil-filled radiator because I have cat (not dangerous for them). Oveall, I am very satisfied. I have a very large bedroom and it manages to heat the whole thing pretty well. It's safe, does not make noise at all, and no smell here (only at the beginning). It's easy to use, though I haven't figured out how to use the timer and from what I gathered, it makes a lot of noise so won't be using that. I am very satisfied and would recommend that oil-filled heaters anytime, mine in particular. Customer Rating: Summary: Hot air rises Comment: This is our third DeLonghi heater. We bought the first one about six years ago and it's still going strong. With oil prices fluctuating, we decided it might make sense to lower the thermostats a few degrees and use electric heaters to supplement. After reading the reviews, I had a hard time deciding between this model and the EW7707CM, so since we needed two units, I ordered one of each. We're keeping the EW7707CM and are returning this unit (TRD0715T) in exchange for another EW7707CM. Why? Well, they both put out a nice level of warmth, both are stable and safe, and both are attractive. BUT, this unit only radiates the heat upwards. The fins are so close together that there is no heat radiating from the sides. I was sitting right next to it and felt very little warmth. The EW unit radiates heat from top and sides and it gives off a lovely warmth. And it's comfortable and safe enough that my cats curl up near it. Customer Rating: Summary: So Far So Good Comment: I purchased two of these because of a review that broke down the warming power of a customer's basement. I would agree that these work well for the money. They are easy to use and store. As with most heaters, it takes a while to get going, but once the heat of on full blast you can definately feel it working. I only use it for the bedrooms before I go to bed and set the timer for when I wake up. I'm happy with this product. More Reviews Vertical Thermal Tunnels Maximize Flow of Heat / 24-Hour Programmable Timer / Thermostat / 3 Variable Heat Settings / 110V AC / Wheeled Base Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Washer When shopping for a new washer, look for a front loading (horizontal-axis) machine. This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
