Customer Rating:   Summary: Hoover service is terrible Comment: After a few months the vacuum quit working. I've had Hoover vacs for over 40 years and stayed with them for their excellent warranty and service. That's not the case any more, Hoover was bought out. Before you buy, make sure that there is an authorized Hoover service center close by. I live outside in the Tampa, Fl area and the closest service center is 84 miles away. Mailing the vacuum, besides the hassle of packing it, costs about half what the product costs. I'm fairly handy, and I knew the problem was a faulty switch, but Hoover refused to mail the switch. I paid a local vac repair shop $45 to fix it. Forget Hoover, my next vac or cleaner will be Dirt Devil. Customer Rating: Summary: Bagged is better Comment: After owning a Kirkby for over a decade and lugging accessories I am thrilled with the ease and function of this vac. The vac is a cleaning magnet and easy to move around. One draw back might be the long cord, however, I have used self-wrapping cords and found them somewhat problematic, so I'll manually wrap for such a good vac. Customer Rating: Summary: Great vacuum for the price Comment: This vacuum was very reasonably-priced and the suction is phenomenal! It puts my old vacuum to shame. Every carpet in my house feels flufflier after vacuuming with this vacuum. At first I thought it was my imagination but the next day I felt it too. Now on to the problems: One of the side wheels came off the first time I used it. Also, the wheels underneath left grey skid marks on my floors. And lastly, you HAVE to buy the 20' hose attachment. I didn't and regretted it the first time I was using this vacuum. It's really a necessity and should come with the vacuum. I have since ordered it and am awaiting its arrival. Customer Rating: Summary: DO NOT BUY ANY SELF PROPELLED HOOVER VACUUMS Comment: HOOVER HAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE BELTS STRETCHING OUT ON ALL THE SELF PROPELLED VACUUMS, BUT WIL DO NOTHING FOR CUSTOMERS STUCK WITH THEM! WE MUST REPLACE THE DRIVE AND PROPEL BELTS EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS. REDICULOUS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE Customer Rating: Summary: Love, Love, Love IT! Comment: This is a great vacuum for the price. I have 3 cats and it picks up all their hair and I have 2 kids and it picks up all the crumbs they leave behind. I also love the onboard attachments and use them often since they are located right on the unit. The only downside is that it's very heavy but it has rollers on the back so you can move around the house fairly easily. For the money, it's a great deal! More Reviews 
Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers A large number of freezers have eliminated defrosting by continually circulating the air inside the freezer compartment, thus avoiding frost build-up -- a feature well worth paying a little extra for. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot.
