I was AMAZED at how much it picked up just after the first use. I can't believe there was so much dirt for it to pick up. I'm glad I got rid of our old vacuum and purchased this one! I was seriously considering the Dyson animal vacuum but thought I'd try this one first since it's so much cheaper. I'm so glad I did because for a fraction of the price, it does an amazing job. I like how the hose flexes and is easy to disconnect but the attachments fall off easily when connected to the extension tubes. I rarely use the attachments anyway so not a big deal and since it does such a great job with the pet hair on the carpet I can't fault it.
