Customer Reviews of Hoover U5178-900 TurboPower 3100 FoldAway Bagless Upright Vacuum
Customer Rating: Summary: Great vacuum! Comment: I agree with the first review. This vacuum works great with pet hair and thick carpet! I was AMAZED at how much it picked up just after the first use. I can't believe there was so much dirt for it to pick up. I'm glad I got rid of our old vacuum and purchased this one! The vacuum is also very light when pushing and pulling the vacuum. Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic on pet hair, easy to use Comment: I love this vacuum. We have two cats and hardwood floors except for one large area rug. Our other 10 yr old vacuum barely made a dent on the cat hair and we would work on our hands and knees with one of those pet hair removal brushes. This vacuum sucks up so much hair it's scary. I was seriously considering the Dyson animal vacuum but thought I'd try this one first since it's so much cheaper. I'm so glad I did because for a fraction of the price, it does an amazing job. I like how the hose flexes and is easy to disconnect but the attachments fall off easily when connected to the extension tubes. I rarely use the attachments anyway so not a big deal and since it does such a great job with the pet hair on the carpet I can't fault it. I now vacuum more than I used to since it's so easy to use and does a great job. More Reviews For quick household cleaning, the industry leaders at Hoover offer their Fold Away Widepath Bagless Vacuum. The upright 12-amp vacuum cleans carpets and hard floors using turbo power for extra power. The bagless format eliminates bag waste and the financial burden of purchasing bags. With allergen filtration, the vacuum also improves an environment's air quality, stripping away dust mites, ragweed, and most grass pollen. Thus, a newly vacuumed room provides relief for sufferers of seasonal allergies like hay fever and helps minimize the discomfort for individuals with cat or dog allergies. To ensure a clean carpet, the vacuum head features a helpful headlight to illuminate soiled patches. The vacuum addresses dirty baseboards with its brushed edge cleaning capability. Debris travels through an allergen filter into the sealed E-Z Empty dirt cup. True to its name, this dirt cap easily detaches from the vacuum body for emptying. The vacuum benefits from compact storage with its trademark handle, which folds down to minimize the vacuum's height. To tackle stairs or excessive pet hair, the vacuum comes equipped with a powerful hand-held tool. Additional attachments include an extra-stretch hose. The power cord on this vacuum spans 24 feet in distance. Hoover offers a two-year warranty for parts and labor defects. The pre-assembled vacuum weighs 21-2/3 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling Choosing Appliance -> Whip / Whisk Many still consider a whip as a "gourmet" piece of kitchen equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is as essential as a kitchen stove and should be in everyone's kitchen. Nothing works better for mixing a multitude of different preparations or for making sauces or gravy. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Hoover U5178-900 TurboPower 3100 FoldAway Bagless Upright Vacuum Kitchen tips -> Chopping and Mincing When you want to finely chop foods such as: onions, garlic, parsley, or other items, pivot your knife by keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting surface at all times and hold the knife at an angle, about 95' angle, towards the hand holding the tip. This way, you use the blade to push and keep the food particles down, thus making them easier to chop. If the knife should slip, then the sharp side of the blade will slide away from where you're working, and away from your other hand and fingers. In addition, you make less noise, as compared to when raising and lowering the knife of the cutting surface trying to mince foods. |
