Customer Reviews of KitchenAid? Rotary Grater
Customer Rating: Summary: Cannot believe KA put their name on this piece of junk Comment: Way too flimsy. It feels like it is going to break in your hands. Customer Rating: Summary: Handle breaks off and is then worthless Comment: If you apply a good amount of pressure while grating the handle will snap, so if you buy this to add to your fabulous collection - BE GENTLE WITH IT- so it will last, same thing with the egg slicer, the wires will break unless you are gentle. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Grater, and then... Comment: This thing worked like a champ, impressed friends, and lasted all of 6 months...and then, the plastic screw that attaches the handle to the grating drum snapped. Cheap, Cheap, Cheap! and at $20/per...definately not considered disposable! Look elsewhere. The Zyliss will be my next purchase and I will leave feedback. Customer Rating: Summary: not worth it Comment: Pretty flimsy for a Kitchenaid tool. Plastic construction not sturdy enough to efficiently grate parmesan cheese. Too much work with this tool! More Reviews All home chefs need a rotary grater for parmesan, pecorino, even chocolate. Interchangable blades in fine, coarse and slicer. Easy to use and disassembles for cleaning. KitchenAid Gadgets ABS handles are made of the same high impact-resistant durable material as KitchenAid portable appliances. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers A large number of freezers have eliminated defrosting by continually circulating the air inside the freezer compartment, thus avoiding frost build-up -- a feature well worth paying a little extra for. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Kitchen tips -> Lettuce Dry lettuce and other salad greens before adding dressing by tossing a couple of paper towels with the greens in a large bowl. Once the towels have picked up the excess moisture, pull them out and throw them away |
