Customer Reviews of V268-08 VILLAWARE Grinder #8
Customer Rating: Summary: Bad bad bad Comment: I got this grinder as a present, so I didn't get to inspect it beforehand. The quality is awful - parts don't fit together well. I cut my finger on a sharp edge of a grid plate. The blade on the other had is completely dull. Meat gets stuck inside the machine and doesn't come out. And the blades and plates got immediately rusted after a single washing. This product is a disaster! Customer Rating: Summary: Total Junk Comment: Absolutely the worst-toleranced piece of material...obviously foreign-made. The hole in the handle is so large it won't engage the crank. Pretty poor workmanship.......stay away from this product..... Customer Rating: Summary: looks good Comment: This grinder has a blade thats to big for it makes it impossible to crank. The parts are not machined well. There is metal burs all in the grind plates that u would have to sand off unless you like metal burs in ur meat and the grinder flakes. I trashed this junk dont waste ur money. More Reviews VillaWare 268-05 Meat Grinder Set #8. The new series of meat grinders are made of heavy weight cast iron, now with a new electro chrome plated coating. High quality, hardened steel cutting parts. Each set includes 2 standard cutting disks, fine 4mm holes and coarse 12mm holes, cutting knife, plus plastic sausage stuffing funnel. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. V268-08 VILLAWARE Grinder #8 Useful info -> Self-Cleaning Ovens Store measuring cups, mixing bowls and other items used together in the same place. Duplicate frequently used items like cutting boards, knives and dish towels in each work area. Keep two containers - one at the baking center, the other at the range - for wooden spoons, spatulas and other cooking basics. And try to store every item at its first point of use. Keep the saute pan near the range, and stow pasta pots near the sink. |
