Customer Rating:   Summary: Stylish, but didn't pour well, and eventually broke Comment: Looks pretty, and got lots of compliments on it. In terms of function, it spills a bit when you pour from it. You have to learn how to use it correctly, believe it or not! Eventually broke after about 8 months of use. We hit it on the countertop (not too hard), and it cracked along the top. Now we use it to water plants. In retrospect, I would probably invest in a more durable, functional pitcher if I could do it again (and will have to now that this one needs replacing). Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT PITCHER Comment: I was really surprised at this little pitcher. I love it! I was concerned because the description didn't give dimensions. It is 9" tall, 6" across the widest part and has a big handle for larger hands. It is sturdy but at the same time elegant. The spout has folded glass to stop ice cubes from dropping into your drink like bombs! I will probably ordering another pitcher soon! Customer Rating: Summary: Poor Quality - Not Up to Luigi Bormioli Standards Comment: I have a number of pieces from the Luigi Bormioli Gallerie collection. All but this pitcher are high quality. I have the 84 oz. pitcher and it has been wonderful to use. This pitcher cracked when I washed it prior to using it. It went straight from the box, to my sink, to my recyclable bin. I recommend spending the extra few dollars for the 84 oz. pitcher. Customer Rating: Summary: water pitcher Comment: I love this pitcher! It is very stylish. We use it to serve water during dinner. Choosing Appliance -> Food Processor This is a big ticket item, but worth its weight in gold. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems. To make the food processor easiest to use, leave it on the counter top instead of storing it in a cabinet. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens. Useful info -> Taps The three-way tap delivers hot and cold water independently or mixed just like a normal kitchen mixer. For purified water in some cases, the centre lever or handle on the tap body is selected, and cold water is diverted to the purification unit which is fitted neatly away under the sink. After purification, the water is channelled through its own waterway inside the tap to deliver purified water at the point-of-use. Alternatives to this delivery system are also available. |
