But the coating starts to come off and have to shop for a new pan now Customer Rating: Summary: More than Pleased Comment: I am oriental and use a stir fry pan to cook almost everything everyday - vegetables, meats, seafood, eggs, soup, stew... Looking for a good and reasonable stir-fry pan for a while. After going through many stainless steel, iron and cheap non-stick pans, I think I have finally found THE ONE. ---The Good--- Big (reduce spattering), high quality surface, non-stick inside and out, good looking. Have been using it for about a month. Just a simple joy to use and clean each time. ---The Desired Improvement--- Wish the silicone portion of the handle were a bit closer to the Pan itself to enable lifting with one hand easily. But this could be entirely due to my weak arm. My workaround is to dish out the content before lifting. But accidents happen and sometimes I get my delicious food out on the counter or stove:-) A lid would be a welcome addition also. Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice). Choosing Appliance -> Spatulas Buy a sturdy stainless spatula for general uses and a Teflon spatula for your non-stick pan. In addition, buy a silicon baking spatula for scraping bowls.
