Customer Reviews of Berndes Tricion 3.5 Quart Stainless Saucepan
Customer Rating: Summary: It's like ALL-CLAD but 1/5th the Price Comment: I jumped on this a month ago, thinking that it might be OOS soon. I looked around prior and found it to be OOS elsewhere. The pan does exactly what you would expect a pan do. it heads properly, keeps even head. does NOT burn cream based sauces. I had some cheap one prior that even burned milk on lowest possible head when i made hot chocolate, i chucked it right out:) Highly recomended, if you can find it:) More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out.
