Customer Reviews of Chicago Metallic Gourmetware Nonstick 6-Cup Popover Pan
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it Comment: Pop overs are so much fun to make, I just need more recipes than just the basic. Product works great, no sticking. Customer Rating: Summary: This Popover Pan Comes Through Comment: I have tried to make popovers in muffin pans and the results were pretty sorry. I live at 7000 ft elevation and a lot of things are challenging when it comes to baking. A squirt of non-stick spray in the bottom is all you need and they just come right out of the pan. No issue. The recipe with the pan is a little rich and I use 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs and 1/2 tsp salt. Preheat oven to 450°F. Bring oven to temp. Heat pan for 2 minutes. Pour batter into hot pan and bake at 450°F for 15 min. Then lower temp to 350°F and bake for 20 min more with no peeking and you should have the most wonderful popovers ever. We use them with butter and jam for breakfast and to sop up gravy and juices from pot roasts, stews and soups. This pan is everything that it promises to be. Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect popover pan Comment: This pan was way better than trying to cook popovers in custard cups or muffin tins. I highly recommend it. They puff up high and come out quite easily! Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad Comment: After looking forward to getting this I've only made popovers once. I guess I shouldn't have bought it. What do you do with a popover? The pan is rather large and bulky so I have a problem storing it. After three days it has ended up in the garage. Still I have hope. B-) Customer Rating: Summary: popover pan Comment: This product does what it promises: it can produce perfect popovers. The recipe that come with the pan provides too much batter and therefore made heavy popovers. Easily solved: less batter! Dishwasher safe. Imported. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Dryer When shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for one with a moisture sensor that automatically shuts off the machine when your clothes are dry. Not only will this save energy, it will save wear and tear on your clothes caused by over-drying. Keep in mind that gas dryers are less expensive to operate than electric dryers. The cost of drying a typical load of laundry in an electric dryer is 30 to 40 cents compared to 15 to 25 cents in a gas dryer. Choosing Appliance -> Food Processor This is a big ticket item, but worth its weight in gold. It will save so much time when it comes to simple chopping or more advanced preparations like mayonnaise. As with most things, buy quality-- it will last longer, be capable of tougher jobs, and give you less problems. To make the food processor easiest to use, leave it on the counter top instead of storing it in a cabinet.
