Customer Rating:   Summary: Long-time Corelle user, love the modern pattern Comment: I have used Corelle for years, as has my mother AND my grandmother. I've only ever seen maybe two Corelle dishes break in my lifetime! We registered for two sets of this pattern for our wedding, and we could not be happier. We love the modern patterns Corelle now offers, especially these square pieces. I noticed, like a few other reviewers, that the line pattern is not consistent on a few of the dishes (i.e. faded in some spots), but it doesn't bother me so much. I also wish the luncheon plates were a bit smaller. But all in all we love this set and hope to use it for years! Customer Rating: Summary: Upturned Edges Comment: I bought this set for the design, but I ended up liking it more for the overall shape of the plates. The plates (especially the smaller plates) have "upturned" edges, making it function more like a bowl. This is a great feature for kids who seems to have issues keeping their food on their plates while pushing it around! Also a benefit if you are eating something a little "juicy." Customer Rating: Summary: Nice dish set Comment: This set is not bad considering that it is chip resistant, compact, and service for 4. I have bought other non Corelle sets only to have them break or chip just trying to wash them. I do have to warn buyers that they are thin which makes them heat up and transfer that heat to whatever surface you set them on. I would suggest protecting your table with a place mat. Also since they are so thin and compact they are somewhat hard to hold on to when washing. They become very slick when wet and sudsy. Customer Rating: Summary: Quality at a value price Comment: For about $50 for a 4 piece place setting, you get nice sized pieces that deliver everything the Correlle brand is known for, light weight, good design and toughness. Customer Rating: Summary: NOT THE CORELLE I USED TO KNOW Comment: I am disappointed with the quality of these dishes. The pattern is uneven and the finish is not the smooth perfection I had previously found with corelle. Some of the bowls are so rough on the bottom they may scatch the table. The size and shape of mugs are nice but the color does not match the other pieces. The quality I have previously found just is not there anymore. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse.
