Now I am still waiting on DeLonghi to send me a replacement.......NOT good customer service Customer Rating: Summary: Great little heater Comment: I got this heater to use in my home office. I close the door and, even on low setting, it stays nice and toasty. It saves a ton of energy because I can turn the thermostat way down on the rest of the house during the day. This radiator is not designed to heat fast and it doesn't. But it does provide silent, gentle radiant heat that doesn't dry out the air. I just set the timer to come on about an hour before I start work. Seems pretty safe too, as the cat enjoys lying practically against it. The little red tabs on the timer feel fragile and are a little hard to adjust, but I don't change the settings much so it's not a big deal. I've found that running the ceiling fan on low reverse keeps the warm air circulating well. I'm starting the second winter with this heater and think it is a great purchase. Comment: When I got the DeLonghi I plug it in and it took like about 15 minutes to heat BUT...After that It realy works and warms 2 rooms easy, I got 2 of them so it's enough for the winter! Delonghi TRD0715T Safe Heat Oil-Filled Radiator Customer Rating: Summary: Great little radiator Comment: This heater works wonderfully, is a great compact size, and has some great features (three different power levels, a thermostat, and a timer). I use it in my 15x15 Master bedroom, which is a cold-spot in my house. The timer feature is great! I just set it to come on about an hour before bedtime, and by bedtime it is warm and toasty. Then I turn down the power to medium and set the thermostat to maintain the temperature. The first few nights is got so hot that we had to throw off the covers and open the door, then I got the temperature down to a science and it has been wonderful. It is set to automatically turn off about a half hour after we get up. The surface gets hot enough to give you a good burn so be careful not to touch. It also took several uses before the smelly off-gassing stopped,. Plug it in and turn it on and let it run in a garage or well-ventilated basement the first few uses. Once it stops stinking, it is a great little heater. Customer Rating: Summary: Works like a champ!! Comment: Works just as advertised. I have read several reviews that said the unit would smell during the first few uses. I never have had any odors from my heater, it heats my bathroom fast and easily maintains the heat. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Stainless Steel Maintenance Wipe away any acid spills such as from vinegar or grapefruit straight away. Never clean the bowl or draining board with an abrasive cleaner. Instead use liquid detergent in warm water and wipe with a soft cloth to remove water drop marks. Care for stainless steel appliance fascias and cabinet fronts in the same way. If choosing stainless steel cabinets, a 'brushed' surface is less likely to show grease from finger marks. |
