Summary: sensor
Comment: I REPLACED MY OLD UNIT WHICH WAS 5 YEARS OLD WITH THIS UNIT AFTER MY OLD UNIT QUIT. I LIVE IN SOUTH DAKOTA WHICH GOES FROM 30 BELOW ZERO TO 110 ABOVE SO IT TAKES QUITE AN ABUSE. BATTERIES USUALLY LAST 6 MONTHS IN THESE EXTREME CONDITIONS. PRICED RIGHT AND WORKS.

Summary: Oregon Scientific Wireless Temperature Sensor
Comment: I am unable to have this sensor be acknowledged by my receiver . I talked to a customer service representative at Oregon Scientific and was quite surprised to be unable to get support . The representative got rather brisk and unwilling to accept my problem. She actually hung up on me without providing any resolution . Very poor customer service .

Summary: Oregon Temperature Sensor
Comment: The sensor itself went bad after 3 months of use. When it works it is great.

Choosing Appliance -> Taps
If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area.

Kitchen tips -> Lemons
  • When selecting, choose lemons that are heavy for their size and have smooth skins.
  • Before squeezing juice from a fresh lemon, try one of these tips to produce more juice:
    • Allow the lemon to reach room temperature and then roll it on a hard countertop using the palm of your hand. Roll it back and forth until you feel the skin loosening.
    • To produce more juice from a lemon or other citrus fruit, place the fruit in a bowl of hot water before cutting and squeezing.
    • Place it in the microwave for 10 seconds before squeezing
