Customer Reviews of Vidalia Chop Wizard
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Gadget Ever! Comment: I LOVE this thing, and I don't even like "kitchen gadgets"! I got this as a joke "gag-gift" for my husband who always complained that I cut up the vegetables too big. Now I can't live without it. Satisfies my OCD nature by easily turning out piles of perfectly cut, uniform sized pieces. You would be amazed at the variety of veggies you can shove into an omelette using the smaller dicing blade. Makes your soups and salads look professionally prepared. Easy to clean, too. I plan to get one for all of my girls for Christmas (just so I can have one available when I cook during visits!)Very sturdy. Only tip is to be sure that the chunk of vegetable placed on the grid for cutting does NOT over-lap the edges of the metal grid. Having pieces sticking out beyond the cutting grid suface is what makes it hard to cut. Customer Rating: Summary: BETTER THAN WHITE BREAD.... Comment: MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT THIS CHOPPER FOR THE SOUL PURPOSE OF MAKING SALSA THIS WEEKEND. MY WIFE CLEANED AND CUT THE ONION, TOMATOES, AND PEPPERS WHILE I RAN THE CHOPPER. SHE COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH ME AND THE RESULTS WERE TERRIFIC. LAST WEEK WE CHOPPED BY HAND AND MADE A SINGLE BATCH IN THE MORE TIME THAN IT TOOK TO MAKE TWO BATCHES THIS WEEKEMND. CLEANUP WAS A SNAP AND I WAS TOTALLY IMPRESSED. I USED THE LARGE CUTTER FOR THE TOMATOES AND THE SMALL CUTTER FOR THE PEPPERS AND ONIONS. THE SECRET TO CHOPPING YOUR ITEMS IS NOT TO USE TOO BIG OF A CHUNK. IT IS SO QUICK, WHAT ARE A FEW EXTRA STROKES WITH THE CHOP WIZARD. WHEN THIS ONE BREAKS, IF IT SHOULD, I WILL BUY ANOTHER FOR OUR KITCHEN. Customer Rating: Summary: Love It! Comment: I can't believe how awesome this tool works. I noticed some of the other reviewers saying it would not cut an onion. It is true it will not cut a whole onion - you have to slice it into first! Then it does take some pressure to close the cover and dice the onion. However, it's much easier than cutting it while crying. I use it to cut green peppers, apples, and other veggies and fruits that have some "body" to them. My salads look so pretty. Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT ITEM ++++++++++++++++ Comment: I don't understand what all the bad reviews are about. My 73 year old Mother uses hers all the time & she has never had a problem with it. I use mine all the time. You have to cut your veggies to fit the grate. I love this product. I've had mine for several years & it's never broke. If the veggies are old they will not work. They have to be fresh. When I make potato salad I chop all my veggies with it. It's a great product!!!! Don't listen to all the bad reviews! Listen to the 5 star reviews because they are right!!! For the ones that the item broke..I don't know what you were chopping!! As for the cleaning, When I get ready to clean mine, I tap it against the sink & anything that's stuck to the blades comes right out. The little fork the cleans the cover works great. You just scrape it as you run water over it & it cleans right up. NO PROBLEM HERE!!!! Customer Rating: Summary: OMG I love it!!!!!!!!!! Comment: my husband likes his veggies for salad chopped and this is awesome its fast and sturdy and easy to clean everything chops nice and even and the cleaning tool is great, this has without a doubt restored my faith in as seen on tv products. way to go chop wizzard!!!!!!!! More Reviews Are you tired of all that chopping with your old kitchen knife? The Vidalia Chop Wizard is a better way to chop vegetables, fruit, cheese, and more - safely and easily - and chop your kitchen prep time in half. Includes a 2 cup catch container, large chopping blade, small chopping blade for fine dicing and a lid cleaning tool. Chop foods with one swift motion, saving precious time without making a mess. Catch container doubles as a measuring cup. Fingers stay away from blades, meaning more safety and less germs. Dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Choosing Appliance -> Taps If you want a sink with large bowl dimensions to cope with big-pan washing-up, it is worth considering a tap with a pull-out or pull-down spray rinse. This gives you water anywhere you need it around the bowl area. Choosing Appliance -> Cooking Pans This is another area where spending money is justified. The best pans combine different metals like aluminum or copper on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. Aluminum and copper are valued for their ability to spread heat evenly over the entire pan, and stainless steel is valued for its non-reactive qualities. Buy pans which are heavy and thick with solid handles that are well fastened to the pot. As with knives, buy the highest quality cooking pans you can afford one at a time, starting with a saute pan and a 3 qt. sauce pan. They will last forever. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Vidalia Chop Wizard Useful info -> Kitchen tips Shelves or cabinets above the cook top can hold foods that aren't affected by warmth, such as pasta, rice, and cereal. A shelf just below these cabinets but above the cook top can transform the space into a cooking workshop, providing a handy resting place for timers, spices, cooking supplies and implements. |
