Customer Rating:   Summary: Excellent spoons; needs something to keep them together Comment: I was attracted to these spoons for their oval shape making them capable of reaching into the narrow neck of spice jars, but overlooked the need to keep them together. My other spoons are on a key chain and this keeps them together in my crowded gadget drawer. Customer Rating: Summary: slender design Comment: I love the slender design to fit into spice jars but the small print makes it very difficult to read the measurements. Customer Rating: Summary: heavier than expected Comment: Much heavier than expected -- metal is at least a full mm thick, I think. polished inside bowl of spoons, brushed finish outside. Quite lovely looking and imprinting on inside of spoons (partial measurement markings) is clearer than in their hemisphere measuring cups. Polished surfaces may scratch easily as one of them is scratched already. Overall pleased with design and weight, might take some getting used to since visually the volumes look very different if you are used to round spoons. Kind of wish both measuring surfaces were on same side of spoon -- can just imagine drips of vanilla extract and corn syrup on the counter already! But glad to have the lovely design. Customer Rating: Summary: Love these spoons! Comment: I bought these for my bread making recipes that called for measurements down to 1/8 teaspoon. I only have one complaint - the little plastic clip that came with them was useless. Once I unclipped it, it was so hard to arrange the spoons back together so that the fit in the clip that I gave up and threw it away. I just store them in a draw loose now and it's more convenient anyway. The spoons are easy to use - easy to scoop into a spice jar or narrow top container, they clean really easily, are very durable and look great. I'm sure they'll be the last measuring spoons I'll buy. Customer Rating: Summary: Best set I've ever had Comment: I bought this set because I wanted something that would fit into small jars and save me from spilling spices. This set certainly does the trick. I love that the spoons are separate pieces (not connected by a ring), so they are easier to handle than a ringed set and I only dirty what I need. They are more heavy duty than most measuring spoons, since they are high quality and meant to be durable. They certainly won't get pushed out of the basket in your dishwasher to end up under the bottom rack, but they're not too heavy or unwieldy even for small children or people with arthritis. The three spoons come in have six scoop sizes (1/8t to 2T) but the three largest scoops also have half-scoop marks. All of the scoops are labelled with both English and metric values. A great buy!
