Customer Reviews of Victorinox Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker
Customer Rating: Summary: no pocket should be without it Comment: I have been using this knife for ten solid years now and my only regret is when I forget to bring it with me. I often refer to the Victorinox S.A. Deluxe Tinker as my third hand(as do other reviewers) and it is treated as such. I have used every tool on this knife and they all have withstood quite a bit of abuse, -and still work perfectly. I do not need to remind owners of this knife about often you hear the phrase, "hey can I borrow your knife?" and they are soon envious that they do not own one. The medium size of this knife is very satisfying and its has a little weight to it so you won't forget it is in your pocket. For me every tool is an asset, even the boot lace puller -especially for a snowboarder who towards the end of the day has cold fingers and loose boots!!! The only thing it lacks now is, the toothpick it came with, but that is replaceable. Also, I have filed down the mini screwdriver on the can opener blade to right angles and a slimmer profile to make it more useful for tiny screws like on eyeglass frames. This knife is well worth every penny. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Pocket Tool Comment: Since purchasing my first Victorinox knife last year, I've become a fan. The fit and finish on these is excellent, and they are durable, useful tools. The Deluxe Tinker has a very useful tool set, and is still easily pocketable. The only thing that I'd change on it, would be the addition of "Plus" scales(for the pen), and I prefer the in line Phillip screwdriver on my Explorer (as opposed to the Phillips on the reverse of the Deluxe Tinker). Still, the Deluxe Tinker is hard to beat if you're looking for a useful pocket tool that doesn't cause your pants to droop. I'd much rather carry the Deluxe Tinker than any of my regular pliers based multi-tools. Highly recommend. Customer Rating: Summary: a man's best friend Comment: i've owned a knife like this for years, it's like a third hand. drill,sissors,pliers,3 screw drivers,tweezers,toothpick,can/bottle openers, all you need for basic survival, couldn't manage without it. Customer Rating: Summary: "Go-to" Quality Comment: This is an excelent tool, no two ways about it. I first got a Victorinox knife from the retail store I work at. I loved that one. So, when I thought I lost it I went on Amazon to search for a viable replacement. The thing I like about Victorinox knives is their simple but solid construction. I like multi tools that handle more like pliers, but they have their place. Alot of the time those types of multi tools tend to be bulky and heavy. This knife is just about perfect both in size and weight, and of course the quality is there as it always is with Victorinox. MY only challenge is trying to find how many applications I can use this on. I recommend this knife to anyone looking for quality and value. Customer Rating: Summary: Swiss Army knife Comment: Excellent product. The shipping was hilarious - the box was big enough to hold a pillow, and all that was in it, other than the packing, was this little pocket knife! John More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers A large number of freezers have eliminated defrosting by continually circulating the air inside the freezer compartment, thus avoiding frost build-up -- a feature well worth paying a little extra for. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Dryer When shopping for a new clothes dryer, look for one with a moisture sensor that automatically shuts off the machine when your clothes are dry. Not only will this save energy, it will save wear and tear on your clothes caused by over-drying. Keep in mind that gas dryers are less expensive to operate than electric dryers. The cost of drying a typical load of laundry in an electric dryer is 30 to 40 cents compared to 15 to 25 cents in a gas dryer. Victorinox Swiss Army Deluxe Tinker Useful info -> Sinks The choice of sink materials is huge. Stainless steel is self-healing, hygienic and co-ordinates with the latest trend in appliances. Fireclay or ceramic sinks are solid and traditional with the latter being available in a core range of colours such as blue and green as well as white. |
