Customer Reviews of KitchenAid? Ultra Power 5-Speed Hand Mixer
Customer Rating: Summary: Hand Mixer Comment: I am buying this product for a gift for the 3rd time! It is a must have, I recieved one as a wedding gift 13yrs ago, and everyone close to me that marries gets one! I make cakes and also cook for a large family and this mixer can do it ALL!! I never use my large kitchen-aid mixer, I think the hand held is better and less mess! I highly recommend this mixer- and this price is half of the same thing in stores. Customer Rating: Summary: turned on for one minute & then it was broken Comment: I have liked Kitchen Aid product so I bought this 5 speed model. Got it and opened the box. I was going to throw the packaging away, but then thought I should turn it on to make sure it works. The beaters turned, it changed speeds, so I slid the switch to OFF and the plastic knob broke off the switch. I check the construction and you could not have molded that plastic part thinner or cheaper. The $50 mixer is junk because of a 5 cent part. They should have spent 8 cents and it would not have broken. Nice job Kitchen Aid. Customer Rating: Summary: Extremely Disappointed Comment: I received this hand mixer as a gift. I was thrilled to toss out my old hamilton beach 9.99er. Boy, I wish I hadn't. My old mixer lasted, like 10 years... I thought this would be the same quality as my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Not even close. My cheap hand mixer was superior to this one.Don't waste your money. Low power, and after only 5 uses, the beater came apart while mixing egg whites! Couldn't imagine it would handle cookie dough. BIG disappointment. Called their hotline, but since it was 1 year, 1 month old, I'd have to pay 15$ plus another 7 for shipping! I might as well buy a new mixer. Customer Rating: Summary: Plastic casing broke after 2nd Use Comment: I had only used this twice when the plastic around the hole where the beater is inserted cracked which made it so the beater would not stay attached any longer. If I try to attach the beater, it just falls right out. So I have 1 beater that works after 2 uses. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Match for its big brother Comment: Bought this as a gift for my wife, to go with her big, matching, stand mixer, which she loves. This is a powerful tool that smacks of quality and cleans up easily. Looks like it's built to last. More Reviews A real smooth operator, KitchenAid's mighty hand mixer uses five speeds of power to blend, beat and knead for culinary creations that are smoother, easier to handle and better tasting. One-year warranty. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Dishwasher Choose a dishwasher with sturdy compression springs in the door. Also look for tough, lightweight nylon or graphite racks with cushioned tips that protect glassware and cookware. Weimer recommends choosing a model with a rack design that provides the largest, most flexible interior space and is configured for your belongings, including odd-shaped pieces. Kitchen tips -> Potatoes Potatoes will cook faster if they are soaked in salty water before they are baked |
