Customer Rating:   Summary: flowering tea pot set Comment: The tea pot came in good condition and quickly. If you enjoy drinking tea, you will enjoy this set. You must boil water in a tea kettle first. Then insert the the flower bud into the infuser (looks like a glass cup)and place it into the glass pot. The infuser has small slits in it and worked just fine. Pour the hot water into the glass pot and then set back and watch the flower bloom. It only takes a few minutes before your tea is ready. Don't leave the flower or tea in too long or it will become bitter. This will make a great gift too. It really does work! The glass pot is very thin glass. The kids are all so amazed with the tea flower blooming and the flavor that they are now having flowering tea day at school. I'm going to get some great video and post a video review. I love the quality of the teapot and the kids love watching the flower opening. They are soo much fun to watch. Great great great product. It's a decent size, and the flowering tea looks beautiful in it. It's not a bad price for the teas and the pot together. But as I previously foreshadowed, it fell off a counter onto slightly padded kitchen floor and shattered into a million pieces! Granted this was our fault, but the fragility amazed me, considering the type of glass. I'll probably buy a replacement if it gets a little cheaper somewhere, because I really want a clear pot, and this would probably be the best bet you can find at least in the U.S. And we'll definitely be much more careful. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Spoons Buy stainless spoons (both slotted and non-slotted) which are solid and won't bend no matter how tough the job. Also, buy several high quality wooden spoons for stirring delicate dishes like risotto (the sharp edge of a metal spoon would cut or bruise the rice).
