Customer Rating:  Summary: decanter Comment: Very stylish. it is the perfect size, because one bottle of wine comes to the halfway mark, which is the wide point of the decanter. Customer Rating:  Summary: Almost perfect and still a good value Comment: I purchased this decanter (here on Amazon) and wanted to modify my review so I cancelled it, thinking that I could start the process over. I could not. So this review IS from a very recent purchase. The bottom is not flat and it rocks a little. They do not grind the bottom flat. Otherwise, I am happy with the purchase and not unhappy enough to return it. It is a large, pretty piece of glass! The mouth/neck is large. More so than I thought from the picture. It is a very "manly" size and weight decanter. One feature is that it is large enough to fit the neck of an average bottle in the spout to drain completely and the bottle shoulder acts as a stopper. A large avacado is also a good fit! The free book - Wine Enthusiast Wine Guide and magazine was a nice bonus! Customer Rating: Summary: A good deal Comment: Looks great for the price, and works well, as far as we can tell. It does promote more drinking, since it's hard to tell how much (or little) is left. Guess we'll have to start counting glasses consumed. Customer Rating: Summary: poor design for pouring Comment: This decanter was raved about and given to us as a gift. It was slightly awkward to pour wine from at first, but towards the end by the last glass or so, I found it impossible to pour from without a wide pattern of spill and splatter. Customer Rating: Summary: Vivid Wine Decanter Comment: I love the shape and design of this decanter. I never use this without the stainless steel funnel to aid in decanting. However, the one issue I have with this design is the degree of difficulty in pouring the last class of wine. You have to lift and turn the decanter completely over and one has to be very careful not to spill a little wine. Love the design, just need to work on your wine pouring skills. Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens. Choosing Appliance -> Baking sheete Not too much romance here, but essential for any functional kitchen. Buy the heaviest pans possible.
