Customer Reviews of RSVP International Endurance Salt Server With Spoon 8-oz.
Customer Rating: Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5
Summary: You know why you want it
Comment: It's what Alton Brown uses on Good Eats. I got an official Sodium Chloride Containment Unit from his website (it was cheaper and I'd rather he made money off of it. And it WAS cheaper). That said, it works well to contain your sodium chloride. If you don't use it often or leave it open, the salt will absorb dampness. His doesn't come with a spoon, but then, who uses a spoon?

Summary: What can I say?
Comment: I'm a sucker. Alton Brown uses one of these. I bought it as a gift for my wife. Umm, ... it holds the salt ... and keeps the dust and grease and stuff out.

Summary: Exactly what I was looking for!
Comment: We love this salt vault! It's exactly what we were looking for at a fantastic price! Hold just the right amount of salt to be useful, cleans easily, looks great on the counter next to the stove.

Customer Rating: Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5Rating: 5/5
Summary: very nice
Comment: We use this to dispense salt. It's attractive and well-made. It is easier to "pinch" out the salt from this server when cooking, yet it also functions well on the dinner table.

Choosing Appliance -> Range Cookers
The way you cook is also key to deciding which type of range cooker to choose. No-frills heat storage ranges such as Agas retain heat they have gradually built up and generally have two ovens without temperature controls - the hot oven is for roasting and baking, the cool one for slow cooking/keeping warm.
Choosing Appliance -> Knives
The importance of high quality knives can't be stressed enough! Buy the best you can and expect to spend some serious money. It is better to buy a couple of excellent knives and slowly add to your collection rather than buying an entire set of low quality knives. Start with a chef knife and paring knife. You will also want to buy a sharpening steel.

Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely
The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
  • Flickering lights. If the lights dim every time you turn on an appliance that circuit is overloaded or has a loose connection.
  • Sparks. If sparks appear when you insert or remove a plug, they could be a sign of loose connections.
  • Warm electrical cord. If an electrical cord is warm to the touch, the cord is underrated or defective.
  • Frequent blown fuses or broken circuits. A fuse or circuit breaker that keeps tripping is an important warning sign of problems.
  • Frequent bulb burnout. A light bulb that burns out frequently is a sign that the bulb is too high a wattage for the fixture.
