Customer Reviews of Peugeot Fontainebleau Dark Wood Pepper Mill
Customer Rating: Summary: cute high quality pepper mill Comment: I was going to buy a larger peppermill but was scared off by the sudden price increase on foreign items on Amazon! The mill I wanted went from $20 to $28 suddenly, so I bought this little one (5.5" tall...) for $16 I believe. It's big enough for table and kitchen use for any family. If you're a big pepper user you'll just have to fill it more often. I filled it with large pepper corns but feel that maybe it would work best with smaller pepper corns as sometimes I feel the pepper balls aren't getting down into the grinding parts fast enough to dispense ground pepper fast enough for me. I'll have to experiment with that later. I also have a William Bounds grinder, made in USA, also very high quality, grinds as well as the Peugeot. So, really, why not buy Made in USA? I think I'll stick to that ideology. Also have a Turkish coffee grinder, which was an antique when my father bought it in the 70s in Portugal. I've never used it for coffee or pepper, so can't say what it's like, but I intend to try, as I've read that turkish coffee grinders are great for grinding pepper fast as they're built for handling large beans. Well, happy grinding! Richard More Reviews This pepper and salt mill set from Peugeot is a classic design. This pepper mill from Peugeot is a classic design. The mill is made from chocolate colored wood. 5.5" tall. Origin: France Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot.
