Customer Reviews of Chef'n Sleekstor VeggieSteam - Frost
Customer Rating: Summary: silicone veggie steamer Comment: I live in Hong kong at present and have not used this silicone veggie steamer yet. It looks like it should be great and easy to store clean, and use with any size pan....... Customer Rating: Summary: stain resistant silicone? Comment: As much as I like and use this product, I wish I would have gotten another color. The product says stain resistant but mine is now strange splotchy shades of orange and green. Buy the product, just don't by "Frost" because it does stain. Other than that, it does the job! Customer Rating: Summary: Great product! Comment: This is a handy item. My old metal vegetable steamer didn't fit in all my pans which meant that I would have to use a large pan when steaming a small quantity of veggies. This one fits in every pan I have! Also, I can lift it out of the pan using the handles and dump the veggies directly in a serving bowl as the silicon doesn't get hot. I throw it in the dishwasher to wash. It is flat so it stores easily as well! I highly recommend this if you like to steam veggies! Customer Rating: Summary: I love this! Comment: I use this almost every day. It's so nice to be able to steam my veggies in the microwave. I just fill a bowl with a little water, put the steamer on top, fill with veggies, shake some molly mc butter on top and 5 minutes in the microwave and it's done! No more excuses for not eating your veggies! Customer Rating: Summary: Veggie Steamer Comment: Marvelous kitchen tool for those veggies that don't need the large electric steamer. Will not scratch expensive non-stick pots. More Reviews The SleekStor VeggieSteam steamer insert from Chef'n will have you steaming vegetables like a pro in no time! The flexibility of the silicone steamer insert allows it to conform to fit any small or medium sized pot, as well as take up little storage spac Choosing Appliance -> Dishwasher Choose a dishwasher with sturdy compression springs in the door. Also look for tough, lightweight nylon or graphite racks with cushioned tips that protect glassware and cookware. Weimer recommends choosing a model with a rack design that provides the largest, most flexible interior space and is configured for your belongings, including odd-shaped pieces. Choosing Appliance -> Plastic wrap An absolute must with a million and a half uses. But do not buy just any plastic wrap. Go to a restaurant supply store and buy a large roll of restaurant plastic wrap. It sticks much better than the common grocery store plastic wrap and is much cheaper per foot. Chef'n Sleekstor VeggieSteam - Frost Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Cleaning & Maintenance Oven Never use a scouring pad of any sort to remove stubborn stains or soiled areas, since these pads scratch the finish and any future soiled areas won't clean up as well, especially with the self-cleaning models. When the oven is cool to the touch, place a cloth or sponge, dampened with warm to hot tap water, onto the soiled area and allow it to sit, for about ten minutes or so, to help loosen the soil. |
