Customer Reviews of Metrokane V-Gauge
Customer Rating: Summary: holds a vaccum and you can tell! Comment: Unlike other wine-stopper vacuum systems that I've tried in the past, this one actually holds a vacuum. And with the handy gauge on it, you can tell. I tested it, and it held for 5 days. Customer Rating: Summary: Much nicer than my old ones Comment: I had a set of inexpensive vacuum seals I was using that never would connect in the bottle and never held the seal. I really like this product because the seals connected right away, and you can immediately see what the seal level is, so there is no guessing as to whether or not the seal is held. Quite easy to pump, solidly built, good stuff. Customer Rating: Summary: Worked after some experimenting... Comment: At first it would rarely pump any air out of the bottle. Then, I moistened the stopper and it sealed immediately. If you are struggling with it, you should know that it will register on the gauge after just 1-2 pumps when there is a seal. As for performance, it definitely slows down the degradation/oxidation of the wine involved. More Reviews Is your wine safe? See proof! The world's first wine preserver that actually shows the vacuum, no more guessing. Simply insert the patented stopper, pump until the needle reads in the "Red Zone" and you have created an air tight seal that will keep your wine tasting better, longer. Extra stoppers are available. Set comes with 1 pump 1 stopper. Will fit any size wine bottle. Size: Pump - 5"H x 1-1/2"W Choosing Appliance -> Dishwashers Look for models with adjustable baskets and flexible internal layouts for varying load requirements. For example, a tilting upper basket allows large 30cm diameter plates in the lower basket and extra flaps can be raised or lowered to cater for small items or large pans. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Keen cooks may want to take advantage of multi-function ovens - usually aimed at the top end of the market. As well as traditional cooking, fan or fan-assisted cooking and grilling, these ovens offer up to nine further functions. These include: Top element only (browning), bottom element (final cooking of pastry dishes or pizzas), fan and bottom element (delicate cooking), fan only (thawing). Metrokane V-Gauge Useful info -> EnergyWise House: Laundry About 80 percent to 85 percent of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water. There are two ways to reduce the amount of energy used for washing clothes - use less water and use cooler water. Unless you're dealing with oily stains, the warm or cold water setting on your machine will generally do a good job of cleaning your clothes. Switching your temperature setting from hot to warm can cut a load's energy use in half. |
