Customer Reviews of Mario Batali Measuring Prep Bowls, Penne
Customer Rating: Summary: I love these bowls! Comment: I also do a lot of Asian cooking, and I too have two sets of these bowls. I also use them constantly for serving little snacks, because a little food served in a little bowl is more likely to satisfy my kids than a little food served in a giant bowl. These are really versatile, and I use them all day long. Customer Rating: Summary: Nice measuring bowl set Comment: I bought two sets of these bowls because we do a lot of Asian cooking in our wok. This necessitates that we pre-measure EVERYTHING. This is a nice bowl set. Each bowl has 2 measurement capacities, so it saves space. They are made of a hard plastic that feels like melamine. They are quite durable and are dishwasher safe. More Reviews This great set of prep bowls is all you need for measuring and holding ingredients. One can never have too many prep bowls and these have measurements for added functionality. Made of durable melamine, the prep bowls each have full and half bowl measurements on the interior and exterior of the bowls. The bowls conveniently nest for space-saving storage. Penne yellow. Set of 5: 1/8 cup, ¼ cup, ½ cup, 1 cup, and 2 cup capacities. Made of durable melamine with non-slip matte finish on exterior and smooth polished interior finish. Dishwasher safe. Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Shopping Washer When shopping for a new washer, look for a front loading (horizontal-axis) machine. This machine may cost more to buy but uses about a third of the energy and less water than a top-loading machine. With a front loader, you'll also save more on clothes drying, because they remove more water from your clothes during the spin cycle. Look for the Energy Star label. Mario Batali Measuring Prep Bowls, Penne Useful info -> Energy-Efficient Appliances When you do have to shop for a new appliance, look for the Energy Star label. Energy Star appliances have been identified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and DOE as being the most energy-efficient products in their classes. They usually exceed minimum federal standards by a substantial amount. |
