I use it for cutting anything with a hard rind. It's great for watermelon, squash, carrots, celery, potatoes, and jicima. It also makes fun shapes and provides interest for the kids. The handle is very comfortable and you can get the leverage you need for tough cutting, better than trying to put you hand on the other end of a knife to cut through fruits and vegetables. Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Stainless Steel Maintenance Wipe away any acid spills such as from vinegar or grapefruit straight away. Never clean the bowl or draining board with an abrasive cleaner. Instead use liquid detergent in warm water and wipe with a soft cloth to remove water drop marks.
