Customer Reviews of Pinzon Wine Vacuum Pump with Stoppers
Customer Rating: Summary: Not a wine opener Comment: I actually thought I was ordering a wine opener, but it turned out to be a device that takes the air out of the bottle (of wine)so it stays fresh longer. If I had not looked this item up on google, I would still be puzzling about how you get the darned thing to open your wine. No directions or literature comes with it, so you have been warned. Well made and I'm guessing it works very well, but I have not tried it out yet. Customer Rating: Summary: good product for a good price Comment: The wine pump works just as advertised. be prepared that it doesn't come with extensive instructions or a fancy box, but it's a pretty simple concept. I have had it for over a month now. Customer Rating: Summary: Looks good, Works good Comment: Pump has a nice look and finish. Works great, only five or six pumps and a strong vacuum is created, making for a solid seal. Comes with two stoppers; I rarely have multiple bottles opened at same time. Holds vacuum for at least 5-7 days and probably longer but haven't kept bottle sealed longer. Customer Rating: Summary: No more cork bits Comment: I think this is a much better way to reclose the wine as there are no cork bits to get into it. It fits perfectly in the neck and is easily removed at ones convenience. Customer Rating: Summary: Works very well, no problems. Comment: Amazon had this on sale for 3 bucks so I figured I couldn't pass it up. While it doesn't come with instructions it is totally self explanatory about how to use it. Just plug your bottle, set the pump on, and pump for 5-10 seconds. It really could not be any easier. More Reviews Choosing Appliance -> Strainers We recommend 2 strainers for every kitchen. The first is a solid stainless steel colander (one big enough to wash a lot of lettuce at once). The second strainer is a fine mesh conical strainer (called a chinois) which is a must for any serious sauce or stock making. A chinois is an expensive purchase, but with care it will last many years. Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Pinzon Wine Vacuum Pump with Stoppers Useful info -> Outdoor Kitchen An outdoor kitchen can help you slow down and spend more time with family and friends by putting all the ingredients for outdoor dining close at hand. It can be as simple as a storage cabinet for cooking gear or as ambitious as a full kitchen with grill, refrigerator, sink and eating area. Either way, your yard will gain an outside "room" that's a natural gathering spot. |
