I bought four and gave away one to a friend with a little tissue and a book on wines and a nice gift bag.Both of us use it constantly in our wine club meetings and while it feels flimsy the mechanism actually works well Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad at all Comment: It doesn't feel very sturdy....but it gets the job done. My only complaint is the lack of instructions -- since I had never used a wine opener like this before, I didn't really know how to use it. I had to figure it out on my own. This was one of the slowest delivery times I've ever experienced. When the product finally arrived it was as ordered. When I use it, I can feel the tension in the plastic and it feels like it could break easily. I already owned a metallic one of these, and I still prefer it over this new one. Choosing Appliance -> Built-in Ovens Ease of cleaning is well worth considering at the outset. Stay clean liners resist dirt build-up but pyrolitic cleaning is the ultimate. It burns off all baked-on debris at 500°C so that all you have to do is sweep out the resulting ash. Look out for ovens with a steam cleaning facility, too, and remember that some ovens have removable inner doors that are easy to clean. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening!
