Customer Reviews of MIU 8-Inch Bamboo Peppermill with Stainless-Steel Gear
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Value, Solid Build Comment: This 8" MIU pepper mill seems pretty well together, but time will tell the durability. Our most recent pepper mill from Williams and Sonoma gave out after about 6-7 years of regular use -- some of the parts on the business end of that unit were made of plastic, which eventually broke apart. The grinding parts and related support mechanisms on this new pepper grinder are made of metal, so they will likely hold up better. The one lament we have is that control over how fine the grind is not very precise. Otherwise, no complaints. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Buy...High Quality!!! Comment: After researching numerous peppermills at several high end kitchen stores, I decided to purchase this one. Reasonable price, perfect size and great quality. The stainless steel gears grind the peppercorns to the perfect size every time. More Reviews MIU France 8-Inch bamboo peppermill, item # 90601. This stylish bamboo pepper grinder is a great alternative to the standard wood grinder. Bamboo is every bit as beautiful and sturdy as wood. Unlike wood, bamboo is a naturally abundant resource which grows quickly and is easy to harvest. This is a beautiful grinder to keep on the dinner table at all times. This model features a stainless-steel grinder. Bring the taste of fresh ground pepper to any meal. Fill with whole peppercorns only. Not for use with pre-ground pepper. Do not put in the dishwasher. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Measures: 2.5" Diameter by 8" High. Choosing Appliance -> Energy-Efficient Refrigerators The EnergyGuide label on new refrigerators will tell you how much electricity in kilowatt-hours (kWh) a particular model uses in one year. The smaller the number, the less energy the refrigerator uses and the less it will cost you to operate. In addition to the EnergyGuide label, don't forget to look for the Energy Star label. A new refrigerator with an Energy Star label will save you between $35 and $70 a year compared to the models designed 15 years ago. This adds up to between $525 and $1,050 during the average 15-year life of the unit. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier.
