I usually hate peeling apples. .. it's time consuming, you get too much flesh in it and it makes a mess. With this little gadget, it takes about 3 seconds, and the peel comes off in one piece. On occasion due to the odd shape of the apple I ran it through the peeler a second time with great results. This is tough little machine. I chose it because I thought that it would help my 8 yr old son enjoy helping with the apple harvest and processing ordeal we go through every year. I thought he would like to watch the gears move.
