Customer Reviews of "Off the Top" Skimmer (Large)
Customer Rating: Summary: Makes a Mess Comment: I used this skimmer for the first time yesterday and it failed miserably. The description says oil and fat can't get through the fine mesh and that's true to a point. Some fat does stay on top of the mesh but a lot escaped back into the pan and, worse, onto my stove top making a mess. I gave up on the skimmer after a while and used my old gravy separator which works perfectly. More Reviews So easy to skim fat or oil off the top. Broth and soups will be fat-free. At some point, a stock pot (which will be especially pricey) should be considered for serious cooking. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. It also cuts down on the amount of fat necessary to effectively saute. The best place to buy such pans is from a restaurant supplier. "Off the Top" Skimmer (Large) Tips How to Maintain Appliance -> Maintain Electrical Safely The insulation on electrical cords can become damaged by wear, flexing, or age. Do not use any cord that is stiff or cracked. Some clues that you may have an electrical problem are:
