Customer Reviews of Chef'n Garlic Zoom
Customer Rating: Summary: Helpful and fun!!! Comment: The Garlic Zoom works great. No more stinky hands, no more bland bottled garlic. My daughter loves to help make dinner with this! Other users mentioned that it gets stuck or won't chop-- you have to apply a fair amount of pressure to get it started, and be sure you're rolling it on a non-slick surface. As for cleanup, I just took out the blade and rinsed out the copmartments, and it was fine. I recommend this to anyone who likes to use fresh garlic in their kitchen. Customer Rating: Summary: Doesn't work for me Comment: It's so cute! I followed the directions, put a couple of cloves of garlic in, and tried to roll the little wheels. It immediately jammed up. Then I cleaned it all out (a pain) and tried putting in one small piece. Jammed up again. I cleaned it thoroughly, dried it completely, and the next night, gave it one more chance. Same result. For me, it's much quicker to mince the garlic with a sharp knife. I get the smell off my hands by rubbing them with a plastic dish scrubbie. I'm taking this back to the store. Customer Rating: Summary: easy to use Comment: Very easy to use - I like the idea, but I do find that some of the garlic gets caught in the corners and around the wheels, so you lose some that you mince. Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth your time Comment: This garlic crusher zoom is so not worth your time. First of all the garlic bulb gets stuck onto the small blades. If your lucky after a few minutes of using the garlic zoom the garlic is diced and now the question is how to get all the garlic out? Then you have to use your fingers which get all smelly. It's much easier to use the garlic press. Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome! Comment: Chops and minces garlic with ease, not to mention helps keeps hands clean and free from garlic odor. Use caution while washing the blade. I would definately recommend this product! More Reviews The Chef'n GarlicZoom will mince your garlic in seconds! And your fingers won't smell like garlic when you're done!Just fill the Garlic Zoom with a clove or two and roll on your countertop. The stainless steel blades inside will chop your peeled cloves Choosing Appliance -> Salad spinner While some may consider this a bit on the gadgety side, I think it is a must as dressings do not stick to water-logged salad greens. Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Chef'n Garlic Zoom Kitchen tips -> Too salty soup If your soup becomes too salty when you are preparing it, try adding a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of cider vinegar to combat the saltiness. Another method to try is to add a raw potato to the soup to absorb some of the extra salt |
