Customer Reviews of LamsonSharp 3-Tine Granny Fork - 7-Inch
Customer Rating: Summary: Granny fork Comment: My grandmother had one of these forks and used it constantly. This one not only is handy to use, it's also attractive. Customer Rating: Summary: Over Priced Comment: The Granny Fork from Lamson is over priced, the tines all had burrs on them that had to be filed off. The steel that is used in the tine is stiffer then in the past. LamsonSharp 3-Tine Granny Fork - 7-Inch Customer Rating: Summary: LamsonSharp 3-Tine Granny Fork - 7-Inch Comment: I like the size and weight of the fork. It is the prefect for everyday cooking. Customer Rating: Summary: Just like "Grandma's" Comment: Remember the fork grandma used to use to cook, turn and taste everything. Well, this is just like it. Love this fork. No kitchen should be without it. Customer Rating: Summary: Granny Fork Comment: Perfect! Just exactly what I wanted to give my daughter since I have had one for many years and think they're a chef's handiest tool! More Reviews LamsonSharp's PRO Walnut series stamped Kitchen Necessities feature walnut wood handles that are unusually hard and durable. (The natural color may vary from tool to tool.) The blades are either one-piece full tang or half-tang, made from hardened and tempered high-carbon stainless steel from Solingen, Germany. Lamson & Goodnow, the makers of LamsonSharp knives, have been handcrafting cutlery since 1837 in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Lifetime warranty. Made in the USA. Utensil style: 7" 3-Tine Granny Fork. Choosing Appliance -> Cutting boards There seems to be little difference between hard wood and plastic cutting boards from a safety standpoint, as long as they are properly washed and sanitized after each use. Personally, I like the feel of solid wood. One piece of advice--buy large cutting boards. Don't bother with these tiny boards that everyone seems to have in his or her kitchen. They are not user friendly. Once you get down to serious cutting or chopping, the small boards are always woefully inadequate and downright maddening! Choosing Appliance -> Whip / Whisk Many still consider a whip as a "gourmet" piece of kitchen equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is as essential as a kitchen stove and should be in everyone's kitchen. Nothing works better for mixing a multitude of different preparations or for making sauces or gravy. Buy a solid stainless steel whip with moderately stiff wires. Very thin wires are for mixing delicate things like egg whites or whipped cream. Very thick, solid wires are for mixing stiff dough.
