Customer Rating:  Summary: Good buy! Comment: I have so many spices that I had a really difficult time finding a spice rack to hold them, a rack that was nice to look at and more affordable. I bought 2 of these spice racks and I am happy with them! Customer Rating: Summary: Very nice Comment: Even though it was nearly impossible for me to mount this above my stove by myself, I give it 5 stars because I now have plenty of room in my cabinet and can find spices easily now that they are up on the wall. It's almost impossible to put the screws in without a magnetic screw driver holding the screw in place because your hands cannot fit in and around the tiny area to put the screws in! I dropped both bottom screws behind my stove (and cursed myself because I KNEW that was going to happen) but, I found that it doesn't need the bottom ones anyway. It's very sturdy and secure with just the top screws mounted tightly. Nice! Customer Rating:  Summary: Not enough storage but worth it anyway Comment: I bought this spice rack for my small apartment kitchen. Previously, I had been storing all my spices in the cabinet but they prevented me from utilizing the space behind and above the spices. This rack is not big enough for all my spices but it definitely helps me because now I can use that cabinet to store bigger and taller things like cereal boxes. I wish this spice rack held more spices. I might need to install an additional shelf. I can see how this would be perfect for people who rarely use spices. I find myself stacking the smaller ones on top of each other just to keep them on the rack and it kind of looks messy. I know my spices will fall down when we get an earthquake next so I only store the plastic bottles there. Choosing Appliance -> Hobs If you enjoy eastern cuisine, you can buy a speciality hob with a wok burner. Similarly if you are a BBQ fan, choose a BBQ grill. If you are left handed, go for front rather than right hand side controls as this eliminates the risk of reaching across the heat. If you cook for a large family, more than four rings may be useful, and if you have young children it may be worth considering paying a little extra for a hob guard or in the case of gas, choosing an automatic re-ignition or cut off device should the flame blow out. Choosing Appliance -> Non-stick Pans We recommend having at least 1 high quality non-stick saute pan. It makes cooking eggs and delicate items like fish a breeze. Kitchen tips -> Too salty soup If your soup becomes too salty when you are preparing it, try adding a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of cider vinegar to combat the saltiness. Another method to try is to add a raw potato to the soup to absorb some of the extra salt |
