Customer Reviews of FoodSaver Quick Marinator 2-1/4-Quart Square Canister (Colors will vary)
Customer Rating: Summary: So many uses besides just for marinating. Comment: I received the clear model and love it. I use it all the time to marinate chicken breasts, cubed steak, fish and so many other meats. I also have used it to store dry foods and leftovers I want to save in the fridge. Once the air is taken out of the container there is no way you can open it unless you turn the knob to release the seal. I dropped the container by accident once and it did not break open which really amazed me. Very tight seal. Customer Rating: Summary: Favorite of all the accessories Comment: This is my favorite accessory of all the accessories. Any time I make Kung Pau Chicken, we all know I have to get the FoodSaver marinator out and marinate the chicken in the sauce. This dish is heavy duty, easy to clean, easy to store, and easy to stack. I'd like a few more in this size. Customer Rating: Summary: YUMMY Comment: Couldn't believe how fast it works. If you ahve a foodsaver this is a MUST!!!! Awesome flavor in minutes. Looking forward to when it comes in a bigger size. Customer Rating: Summary: Works great, if you have a vacuum sealer! Comment: I bought this to replace a marinator that had a manual pump, not realizing (although that is my fault) that you need a Foodsaver to use it! We ended up getting the Foodsaver vacuum sealer system, and have liked all the products so far. It is easy to use, quick to marinate, and easy to clean. Customer Rating: Summary: Great for quick marinade! Comment: I've been using this when I forgot to marinate something for dinner. So far just chicken and steaks. It works great. I'd give it 5 stars if you could put the lid in the dishwasher; the bottom is dishwasher safe only (top shelf of dishwasher). Also, just be sure to spin the knob to closed BEFORE removing the vaccuum tube (I know it seems obvious, but you'd be surprised...) More Reviews 2.25qt Quick Marinator Choosing Appliance -> Ovens Most avid bakers prefer separate, even-heat double electric ovens. If that describes you - and you have the space - be sure one of the ovens is equipped with a broiler that provides at least 3,000 watts of cooking power. Also look for racks that pull all the way out and lock in place for safe, easy access to the oven. On the inside, a dark interior shows less baked-on grime, while a porcelain interior is easier to clean Choosing Appliance -> Fridge / Freezers By law manufacturers must disclose the energy efficiency of their appliances, rated A to G. These are usually displayed prominently in showrooms. The better the rating, the more energy efficient the appliance is - good for both the environment and your pocket. FoodSaver Quick Marinator 2-1/4-Quart Square Canister (Colors will vary) Kitchen tips -> Chopping and Mincing When you want to finely chop foods such as: onions, garlic, parsley, or other items, pivot your knife by keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting surface at all times and hold the knife at an angle, about 95' angle, towards the hand holding the tip. This way, you use the blade to push and keep the food particles down, thus making them easier to chop. If the knife should slip, then the sharp side of the blade will slide away from where you're working, and away from your other hand and fingers. In addition, you make less noise, as compared to when raising and lowering the knife of the cutting surface trying to mince foods. |
