Customer Rating:  Summary: Best Non-Stick Surface Comment: My first griddle was a Hamilton Beach and it lasted almost 16 years. It was so non-stick I never used any oil on it, not even for eggs. I bought a Presto model to replace it and was extremely disappointed in the way everything stuck to its rough surgace. Clean-up was nearly impossible. I threw it in the garbage and ordered this Hamilton Beach StepSavor model. The non-stick surface is every bit as good as on my old griddle. I no longer need to use any oil and clean-up is super easy. If you are looking for a non-stick griddle, Hamilton Beach is your best bet. Customer Rating:  Summary: OK Comment: Works OK, but does not cook evenly. The Presto seems to do a better job. It also isn't too big where it takes up too much counter space since my kitchen isn't too large. This is a big step up from using skillets for each item and very easy to clean. Highly rated! Hopefully, this one will keep working. I would now give this griddle 5 Stars... Ordered this for my step-daughter. She loved it until it decided to stop working. We are sending the defective one back and are waiting for the new one to arrive. Hopefully, there will be no issues with it. Choosing Appliance -> Ladles Look for ladles that are made of one piece of stainless steel rather than a handle and dome which are spot welded together. With use, spot welded ladles tend to come apart. Buy several differnet sizes. Choosing Appliance -> Range Cookers The way you cook is also key to deciding which type of range cooker to choose. No-frills heat storage ranges such as Agas retain heat they have gradually built up and generally have two ovens without temperature controls - the hot oven is for roasting and baking, the cool one for slow cooking/keeping warm. Useful info -> Tips If you plan to install a dishwasher, place it close to the sink. Where you choose to put it might depend on whether you're right- or left-handed and on the path dishes are likely to take when cleared from the table. Also consider the choreography of two people loading and unloading the machine |
