Customer Rating:   Summary: Nice toaster but could be better Comment: We got this toaster as a wedding gift from our wedding registry and it's nice looking with lots of options. The only problems are that the toaster slots are a little small and don't fit all types of bread. Also, depending on the size and thickness of the bread the toaster doesn't always toast evenly, leaving some corners untoasted. Overall it's fine but you can find something better. Customer Rating: Summary: Better than most Comment: When my little $10 toaster gave up the ghost after 5 years, rather dangerously I might add, I went searching for the perfect toaster. Well, they make them a lot bigger than they used to, but that aside, the Krups performs better than the two I purchased then returned. The outside stays cool, the items toast uniformly each time, and it has the feature that all toasters should have for safety, the lever that raises smaller items to the top so you don't have to stick a fork in. I have not used the defrost feature and probably won't. I would recommend the Krups. Customer Rating: Summary: Better than the last three toasters we've bought. Comment: This toaster is better than the least three toasters we've bought -- so far. Since toasters don't seem to last too long any more, I reserve final judgement until we've had the toaster for a year. But the toaster toaster quickly, evenly and is easy to use. However, to toast the whole grain bread we prefer, we have to turn the dial way up to the high end. That's why I wonder if it'd going to hold up. Kitchen tips -> Rice cooking Add a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of oil to rice when cooking. This will allow the rice to separate and not stick together after it is cooked. You can also try just adding a tablespoon of vinegar to the water to prevent rice from sticking |
