Customer Rating:  Summary: Perfect size for a family of four Comment: I was looking for a slow cooker that would accommodate a family of four I was not sure a 5 quart would be large enough but it turns out it was plenty large enough and with some leftovers. I selected the stainless steel model because it is rust and stain resistant. Some of the reviews were saying that the cooker gets too hot I didn't notice that it seems to cook just fine at perfect temperatures I like the fact that the pot comes out of the cooker and you can move it to the table or to the refrigerator after it cools. Comment: My wife passed away this past summer so now I am on my own for meals. She was a wonderful cook so we did not go out to eat a lot. The teflon coating on her old crockpot was faking so it was time for a replacement. I have used the new Rival only once but it worked great and my family is surprised that I can prepare a tasty meal. Useful info -> Dishwashers A concealed heating element reduces the risk of lightweight plastic items such as children's drinking cups melting onto it after becoming dislodged mid-cycle. Limescale build-up is also prevented. Some manufacturers now produce models with the concealed heating element coiled around the water inlet pipe for further energy efficiency. |
