Customer Reviews of FoodSaver 3-Quart Open Stock Canister
Customer Rating: Summary: good, could be better... Comment: 3 qt. is a good size and due to it's HEIGHT is great for SOME uses BUT I also have a 3.25 qt. (wider, less tall) That I like more. Would I buy another 3 qt.? If the price is right, YES. Customer Rating: Summary: Has room to imporve on design Comment: I have about three dozen of these canister in all sized. I really like them a lot! I have not had any problems with my canister that are this size, however, I have had problems with ALL my 2.5qt canisters cracking on the bottom form the extreme pressure. I hope they can improve on this design. Customer Rating: Summary: I have Questions Comment: I have not had problems with one yet...but i have had 3 of the 2 quart go bad...bottom cracks Customer Rating: Summary: Liked it at first Comment: Kept chips very fresh - then would not hold a seal. When I emptied the container, I found it had cracked along the bottom. Customer Rating: Summary: Very disappointed! Comment: Foodsaver recommends using canisters for dry storage, like flours. Unfortunately, I'm finding these expensive canisters don't consistently hold their seal. I have to check them every week and end up re-sealing them consistently. More Reviews 3qt Round Canister Choosing Appliance -> Convection Ovens Convection ovens allow you to bake more foods (cookies, muffins, etc.) at once with even browning, but without the need to shift and rotate pans. A convection oven is the same as a conventional oven except a fan is installed in the back interior of the oven. The fan is used to blow and force the heat to circulate in the oven and around the food, thus eliminating the need to rotate and shift pans. In reality, though, even with the most expensive convection ovens, you will still need to rotate your foods, because there will always exist still hot spots in the cavity, because the cavity is small. Don't compare home convection ovens with most commercial convection ovens used by bakers and small food manufacturers, because their commercial ovens are much larger than home ovens and commercial ovens don't have any hot spots and therefore, there's no need to shift and rotate pans. Choosing Appliance -> Stainless steel bowls These are the best all purpose bowls for a multitude of applications. Choose a wide range of sizes (be sure to get a large bowl for whipping egg whites and whipped cream). In general, the heavier the bowl, the higher quality. FoodSaver 3-Quart Open Stock Canister Useful info -> Grill Grilling is a pervasive tradition in the United States. There are many cook-offs for steak grilling and good 'ole fashion barbecue (mid-western and southern style) around the United States with serious cash prizes involved in most. Almost all competition grillers use charcoal, most often in large, custom designed brick or steel grills. They can range from a few 55 gallon oil drums sawed lengthwise on their sides to make a lid and grill base, to large, vehicle sized grills made of brick, weighing nearly a ton. |
